Helping Kids Feel Brave & Seen
Life can be tough, but on these pages you will find something to help you through it!
Whether you’re figuring out how to adult, trying to keep your spark alive, or just need a reminder that you’re not alone… Aunt Nut writes with truth, heart, and a healthy dose of humor.
Let’s get through the messy, magical, maddening parts of life together.
Written with honesty, humor, and zero sugarcoating, When Life Gets Tough, Then What? isn’t here to tell you to just “manifest it” or “think positive.” It’s here to hold your hand, call it like it is, and walk you through the real stuff — the messy relationships, the financial stress, the burnout, the breakups, the grief — with grace, grit, and a little sass. Whether you’re in your 20s or 60s, this book doesn’t pretend to have all the answers. It will help you find your own — one story, one quote, one Aunt Nut-ism at a time.
Because when life gets tough… You don’t need perfection. You need perspective, practical tools, and a reminder that you’ve got this!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read! Advice from experience and from the heart!
This is a book written by a person who has seen it all and just wants to share her journey! Straight from the heart of a passionate woman who has taken the time to share her journey and experience, even if there is just a remote chance it can help just one person... resonates with just ONE person... she has succeeded!
Such a great read with truth, passion and just some great advice when "things" suck... which so many things in life do! But this book helps you to see beyond the "suckyness" of life and how to deal with it! Not an easy task but some AWESOME advice on how to take charge of your life and just deal with the suckyness!!! Thank you Aunt Nut for writing this book and for just sharing the best of you!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great book on handling tough things in life
Sometimes life sucks - but what can you do about it? This book highlights struggles many of us go through and concise positive ways to get through it. Not to sugar coat it or pretend it didn’t suck - but acknowledging and working through it. Definitely going to encourage my 16 and 18 year old kids to read it - wish I had this guidance at their age!

For Anyone Looking to Better Understand ADHD : I’ve sometimes wondered if my daughter might have the quieter form of ADHD. I used to think ADHD was simply about being easily distracted by different kinds of stimuli. But reading this book gave me a much deeper and more realistic understanding of what ADHD actually is. There were so many passages where I felt like underlining every line. I love how the book captures ADHD in such a detailed, down-to-earth, and even humorous way—especially knowing how many people live with it.
A MUST read for those of us with ADHD and those of you without. One of the best ADHD books I've ever read. It was entertaining, engaging, and made me feel "seen". It provided answers and solutions in an easily understood and fun way. It helped me understand why I am the way I am and made me realize I dont have to be ashamed. I highly advise both those with and without ADHD read this book as it will give you a better understanding of those of us that are wired a little differently
